My name is Dena Gunderson-Peles (aka Sonni), I am the owner of Zaladin Persians.
Zaladin Persians was established by me in 1994, with the intention to produce the healthiest, sweetest
Persians, which are the closest to the Persian standard.
Zaladin is our registered name in both CFA, and FIFe.
Our cattery and home are located on a mountain side with a magnificent view of the Sea of Galilee, in
Israel.
I put great emphasis on the socialization of my babies. I spend most of my time in the cattery and work from
home as a graphic artist. My passion to aesthetics is the corner- stone of my breeding program as well, and
I am the harshest critic of my babies when it comes to comparing them to the breed standard. I don't only
strive for a Persian which conforms to the standard, but I also care for the total harmony in the cat, which
makes it a balanced 'whole'.
During my road I had many teachers and mentors. The greatest one is Brenda Barrett of Finchfield
Persians and Exotics. Therefore my foundation lines are the Finchfield lines. Brenda is a very
established breeder. I have always perceived her, and her lines, to be a mark of excellence.
Since then my breeding program has evolved, and I have introduced several other lines to my program,
including our latest addition of the Sugarspun lines, which I recieved through my friend and show partner,
Alon Bigler, of Bigpurrs Persians.
Both Alon and I are dedicated show people, and we try to show our cats in all our national shows, and if
possible, attend a foreign show when our budget allows it.
I feel that showing and competing is the only way to make sure our cats conform to the breed standard, I
am therefore very proud of our show achievements. Feel free to visit our show page to see what we have

Since my cat's health is most important to me, I do not offer stud service, and have a closed cattery.
However I do offer assistance and friendly guidance to serious people who are interested in this hobby,
and that wish to take part of it in an ethical manner.
